I Twitch

   As we cross Paths in the hallway
   and my eyes glance sharply
to the left—avoiding eye contact—
   due to a subconscious panic as
   my stomach is fluttering with these foreign butterflies,
   that are over­caffeinated.

   Like every adolescent that crosses your path.
