Ken Rignall was a professor in the Printmaking Program at California College of the Arts from 1969 until his death in 2005. Primarily a printmaker and painter, Ken was a key figure in the college’s print shop, and he inspired students with his teaching and artwork, prompting several to privately call him, “Uncle Ken.” When asked once what his current subject was he said, “Anything! It doesn’t matter!” The linoleum cut featured here is one of his last prints.
