He waves a transparent hand, but heavyset visitors hurry past. Hordes blanket his park, staring into phone screens, missing the sights. A roaming specter for decades, he still loves the toad ride, is never more awake than when hurtling through the haunted mansion, howling, “Wake up, America! Live a little!”
