Still Point

In his garden last Saturday,
My widowed friend unearthed a hair roller
one time dropped by his wife,
her hair still snarled in the mesh.

He wept and rejoiced. The one
who can hold the coming and the going
is blessed.

Sandra Kacher, a Minnesota poet, is happy to announce the publication of her debut collection, First Communion, by Kelsay Press, February 2023. She is a retired psychotherapist who is learning to sit still with no one to listen to. This year she is hanging out with ranunculus and snapdragons while she waits for her beans to grow.
