Upon Arrival: Castletown Conyers, Ireland







Michelle Murillo is an artist, assistant professor, and co-chair of the Printmaking program at California College of the Arts. Inspired by research, travel to her ancestral homes in Ireland and Colombia, and her interest in examining how identity is constructed, she created a series, “Of History and Fictions,“ of which these are two of several screen prints with frit (powdered glass). Her prints and installations have been exhibited in North, Central and South America, Asia and Europe, and she has received numerous grants and residencies in Canada, Russia, Germany, Texas, Argentina, Ireland and the San Francisco Bay Area, where she now lives. http://michellemurillo.net
