The Emperor of Yen



I spent so much time staring at the ice-cream cone in the cool
whip of desire that its double dip started dripping to the floor.
Rushing to scarf up what remained, I was left with nothing but
regret at letting candy-sprinkled moments pass.









Frank De Canio was born and bred in New Jersey and works in New York. He loves music of all kinds, from Bach to Dory Previn, Amy Beach to Amy Winehouse, World Music, Latin, opera. Shakespeare is his consolation, writing his hobby. He like poets Dylan Thomas, Keats, Wallace Stevens, Frost , Ginsburg, and Sylvia Plath. De Canio been published in over 300 magazines(and/or e-zines): Danger, Pleiades, Genie, Write On!!,and Red Owl, among others.
